So long ago and far away I used to blog regularly on things that were close to a wondering or at least I'd ramble about something . . . now after chasing children I have no time to pontificate so I hope to convey practical ways to get free stuff over the internet!

Hey Cherie--
You look so trim in this picture! Have you been working out?
yes indeedy... hoping to do a few long bike rides this summer (hence the need for your bike). So, I've been hitting the gym pretty much daily. :) The trim factor is a side benefit. I am really more concerned with being able to go the distance, so to speak!
Yeah, I've been trying to get more exercise lately too. I don't let myself stand on the metro (subway) escalators anymore, even though the one at Bethesda is a killer.
When the parents asked if I would bring my road bike back from DC since I never use it, I had to admit to myself that they were right-- I hadn't used it in ages and it showed. I still have a junker bike in DC, which is actually better if I decide to start riding this summer. I never used the nice one to run errands/commute in DC because of fear of theft (I lost my first junk bike there to theft).
BTW-- I'm still keeping it relatively quiet cause it's not yet official, but it looks like I'll be starting seminary this summer.
Good for you on the walking instead of riding. :) I work on the 5th floor and hoof it every time I'm here. In the long run it pays off. I'm no spring chicken. I'll be 30 this year. Gotta get things back into tip top shape for the next 30 years. hee, hee.
Thanks again for bringing the bike. I'm hoping to get there this week. When my friend Jason was diagnosed with cancer last week, our world turned upside down a bit. There was a prayer service for him Friday night that prevented me from getting to Plainfield. This week is a bit nutty as I have a huge stack of papers to grade and am lecturing on Wednesday. But Thursday seems like a relatively calm day. Are you or are your parents going to be home (you are back in IN for a bit, right?)? Maybe I could make it over then.
Great news on seminary. Where?
